Krom's Nerd Room Picture

Want to share my current game room set up.  Most of the old school consoles are in this room hooked up to the CRT. PS4, XBONE and Wii U are set up in the living room on the larger TV with the larger sofa.  Also our dog, Jet.

Krom's 2015 Most Anticipated Video Games

I wanted to start a blog to share my interests with others.  I think one of the best ways to share my video game interests with others and to convey what it is I like as a video gamer is a most anticipated 2015 list.  Something I do every year is compile a list of games I want. Helps me keep track of release dates.

  1. Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunters - PS3 and PSVita
    • Visual novel game with some battle sequences.  Seems to be a great addition to my Vita collection.
  2. Codename: S.T.E.A.M. - 3DS
    • Strategy RPG, one of my favorite video game categories.  This is going to be an interesting game.  By Intelligent Systems, who had a great success with Fire Emblem: Awakening.  Lincoln, steampunk, and aliens; definitely an interesting concept.
  3. Final Fantasy Type-0 - PS4
    • The long awaited Final Fantasy Type-0 is finally making its way west.  I know I am not the only one who yearns for a Vita port instead of a PS4 port.  Who isn't excited to try the Final Fantasy XV demo as well!
  4. Xenoblade Chronicles 3D - New 3DS
    • One of my favorite RPGs.  Easily sunk a 100+ hours into the Wii version.  Now Nintendo is giving us a portable version.  Being ported by the same team that ported Donkey Country Returns 3D.
  5. Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker - 3DS
    • Despite the awfully long name, if you have not played a game in the Devil Survivor series I highly suggest you pick up the originals on the DS or the remake of the first one on the 3DS.  Excellent and challenging games.
  6. Batman: Arkham Knight
    • Rated M for Man this game is going to be awesome.  I was stricken with a 24 hour depression last year when the game was delayed.  Now after the last few AAA titles being released in an unplayable state, I am thankful for the delay...looking at you Assassin Creed Unity and Master Chief Collection (so much potential and so much wasted money).
  7. Operation Abyss: New Tokyo Legacy - PSVita
    • Another dungeon crawler for the Vita.  Hoping the customization is as deep as they promise it is.  With a release date of June we have some time to learn more about this game.
  8. Rodea: The Sky Soldier - WiiU and 3DS
    • A third party game coming to the WiiU?!!!  Say that sentence without getting excited.  From the creator of Sonic comes Rodea, originally planned for the Wii and DS.  Never thought we would see this game.  Thanks NISA.
  9. Danganronpa: Another Episode - Ultra Despair Girls - PSVita
    • What can I say about this game.  It ventures away from the gameplay of the previous two Danganronpas, but it still looks like a solid game.  Looking forward to playing this one.
  10. Tales of Zestiria - PS3
    • Huge fan of the Tales of series.  Been looking forward to this game since its announcement early last year.  Trying my best to ignore all the talk about this game...so many spoilers out there, tread carefully.
  11. Final Fantasy XV - PS4
    • Not certain if we will get a 2015 release.  Either way it is hard not to get excited about this game.  I still remember the original trailer for this game when it was known as Final Fantasy Versus XIII.
  12. Splatoon - WiiU
    • This game looks fun and exciting.  Cannot wait to play this with the wife.  We shall see if this is the new IP that everyone has been wanting from Nintendo.
  13. Xenoblade Chronicles X - WiiU
    • By far my most anticipated game of 2015.  Everything about this game is what I have always wanted.  Give me more JRPGs with seamless mech and foot combat.  I am ready for more Nopons.
  14. Persona 5 - PS4
    • This is one of the reasons I bought a PS4.  Persona 4 is one of my favorite games.  The Persona universe is full of interesting characters and it is one of the most unique JRPGs to date.  The latest trailer for Persona 5 has only solidified my need for more Persona.
